Boneyard Music Collective (BYMC) is a musical platform for Boneyard Records recording artists to collaborate in projects and genres that don’t squarely fall in the individual artists’ catalog. There are no rules, no limitations, just good music. Any combination of two or more BYR artists can collaborate, and the song's lead singer will receive a “featuring” designation on the release’s title. See our releases below.
A collaboration between producer JL Espada and singer Nerys Apple, Spirit of the Radio is an electronic and modern reinterpretation of the Rush classic. As the music industry gets more and more complicated each day with regards to artist monetization, we long for the simpler days when radio was the main source of music for most.
A collaboration between producer JL Espada and singer Ivy Bona, Just a Little was composed by Espada and Bona contributed the lyrics and vocal performance. Bona's angelic performance addresses the human tendency to bury feelings and emotions just to be able to move ahead.
A collaboration between producer JL Espada and singer Juliette Richman, Scared was written by JL Espada, inspired by the "coming out" stories he's heard from his LGBTQ+ friends. Originally intended as a Banjo Bones song, Espada realized that Juliette was a much better choice to deliver the emotional depth the song requires.
A collaboration between producer JL Espada and singer Juliette Richman, To Live and Die in LA is a modern, electronic take on the 1980s classic by Wang Chung. Given the commotion and unrest caused by fires, political climate, etc., it seemed it was a good time to revive this classic song and give it a modern twist.
A collaboration between producer JL Espada and singer Banjo Bones, Wrapped Up in Blue is an original Electronica song, high intensity and ready for the dance floor, but with the twist of Banjo Bones' gritty vocal take.
A collaboration between producer JL Espada and singer Nerys Apple, I Feel Love is a modern take on the 1970s Donna Summer Disco classic. This updated version features Latin percussion in the bridge section, giving it an even greater party vibe and drive.
